London, UK. July 19th, 2012. ElasticStack, the cloud platform provider, has today enabled partners with ElasticStack powered IaaS clouds to support multiple white-label resellers as well as their own brand. Service providers who build their cloud on ElasticStack can now leverage their channel partners to increase their cloud server sales.
Richard Davies, CEO at ElasticStack explains: “Many of the hosting providers and data centres which operate ElasticStack have an existing ecosystem of channel partners and hosting resellers. Sometimes those channel partners want to sell under their own brand, which ElasticStack powered clouds can now support with the new white-label reseller capability. This means that the service provider operating the ElasticStack deployment can build scale and profit even more quickly.”
In addition, the new white-label capability offers a fast, low-cost introductory path for potential ElasticStack partners. Partners who wish to trial ElasticStack without a full-scale hardware deployment in their own data centre can now launch their services with “Hosted ElasticStack” – an own-brand cloud powered by ElasticStack but operating from an ElasticHosts data centre under the ElasticHosts white-label cloud program. Once the partner has proven customer demand, they can migrate to a full scale ElasticStack build out on their own hardware in their own data centre.
“ElasticStack is already a cost-effective way to build a public cloud,” Davies adds. “However, even though we use distributed storage on commodity virtualization nodes to eliminate SAN costs, a minimum public cloud still requires a certain scale of hardware deployment. Hosted ElasticStack enables potential ElasticStack partners to test the market with an own-brand cloud running from our facilities before they commit to hardware build-out of their own.”
The ElasticStack cloud platform has supported ElasticHosts’ own cloud servers in the UK, US and Canada since 2008. In 2010, the platform was made available to service providers and businesses looking to deploy private clouds. ElasticStack now powers 14 production clouds on five continents.
