Back up a drive

  1. It is incredibly simple to create a backup copy of a disk. First, power down the server on which it is mounted, then click the yellow ‘copy’ button and select whether you would like your backup on a disk or SSD.
  2. I’m going to back my drive up to SSD because it will be faster. Remember that you’re billed for storage, no matter if it’s mounted or not.
  3. And that’s it. You can then manage and mount your backup copy in the usual way via the control panel.
Remember All Elastichosts virtual drives are allocated on RAID1 disk arrays, which means there’s no single point of failure.
