Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit)

On ElasticHosts, create a blank drive of 13,850,000,000 bytes.

Boot a dual-core server with this disk as ide:0:0 and the install CD as
ide:0:1.

Select:
- English language
  English (United Kingdom) time and currency
  United Kingdom keyboard

- Full installation


Once booted, select:
- Randomly generated password, and set password hint to be the same

- Install updates automatically, including recommended updates


Upgrade to Windows Update to Microsoft Update and run it.


Ensure that Windows system time is running, and configure NTP time synchronization every 5 minutes, as per
http://blogs.msdn.com/w32time/archive/2008/02/26/configuring-the-time-service-ntpserver-and-specialpollinterval.aspx

- Check 0x1 SpecialInterval flag set in
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters\NtpServer

- Configure Internet Time Synchronization every 300 seconds using
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient\SpecialPollInterval


Install MAK key directly using Active Windows from Initial Configuration
Tasks.

Add Readme.txt on desktop.

Improve subsequent gzip compression of image by creating and then deleting
a large file of zeros.
