Scalable web hosting, by month or burst

We offer our products under either of two cloud computing pricing schemes to suit all of our customers:

• By monthly subscription, paid in advance
  This scheme offers the lowest rates for continuous use of cloud servers, and will suit customers who wish to host a website or other ongoing service, with the ability to scale it when demand rises.
• By hourly burst use, deducted from your prepaid balance
  This scheme offers most flexibility for you to start, stop and scale your cloud servers, as and when you need. The hourly rates are higher than our subscription rates, since demand is less predictable for us.

You can mix and match between these schemes, with burst charges applying when your cloud computing use goes above your subscribed level. For example, you could subscribe for continuous disk storage, but pay for occasional virtual server use from your prepaid balance.

We accept card payments with Visa or MasterCard in both the UK and the US. In the UK, we also accept Google Checkout payments. For sums of £300 or more, we accept bank transfers to our UK bank account.

Cloud computing prices: Monthly scalable subscriptions

Subscriptions offer our lowest rates for continuous use. A subscription covers a given level of use throughout a month. You can run one or more servers up to this level, starting and stopping them as you wish. We offer 12 months of subscription for the price of 10 when you buy an annual subscription (Microsoft licences not included in the 12 for 10 offer).

Subject to a minimum rate of £0.001/hour or $0.001/hour when using disk alone and a minimum rate of £0.040/hour or $0.060/hour when using virtual servers.

† Ratings are relative to a single core of a 2.1GHz AMD "Barcelona" Opteron processor, which scores 2.1 core-GHz. Processor specifications represent the typical level of performance of a virtual server. Performance is guaranteed to be at least half these levels, and will typically meet or exceed them as we allocate spare capacity where it is most needed.

Cloud computing prices: Hourly burst use

Burst use offers most flexibility for you to start, stop and scale your servers, as and when you need. Burst use is charged in whole hours at twice the hourly rate of subscriptions. Hours are measured by the clock - this means that an hour bought at 1pm expires at 2pm even if you stop the server earlier, but also that if you stop the first server at 1:30pm and start a replacement at 1:40pm then it is still covered until 2pm.

Note that there are minimum balance requirements for burst use above £0.20/hour or $0.30/hour. Above this level, you must have sufficient balance to cover 14 days of the excess burst use at the point that you add disk space or start a server.

Network resources

Our standard service provides dynamic IP addresses on the public internet.

IP addresses on private network VLANs are not charged.

Data transfer prices

Some hosting providers claim to offer unlimited data transfer, but in practice throttle, cap or surcharge their high-usage customers. We, and our customers, prefer our policy of transparency and highly competitive rates on cloud hosting data transfer.

Network traffic on private network VLANs is not charged. Customers requiring bandwidth of 10+TB/month or dedicated connectivity to specific locations should contact us for a quotation.
