Starting at OGF25, the Open Grid Forum has launched the Open Cloud Computing Interface (OCCI) working group to create a standard API for cloud infrastructure services.

ElasticHosts strongly supports the creation of open and royalty-free standards for cloud computing, which we believe will be essential for the success of this key technology.

We are a vocal participant in OCCI, and have publicly committed that we will license on a royalty-free basis any intellectual property we own which is necessary to implement the Open Cloud Computing Interface.
