We provide virtual servers supported by sophisticated, professionally-managed underlying infrastructure, which means that we can offer you back-up, monitoring, failover and redundancy far beyond what a physical server could provide.

You can sleep well because:

  • Your virtual server's 'hard disk' is stored on our RAID 6 storage cluster, to keep your data safe and your virtual server running even in the (unlikely!) case of either an entire disk server or two separate hard disks failing at once – one better than mirrored solutions or RAID 5.
  • We take automatic regular backups of the disk and running machine state of your virtual server for rapid disaster recovery. You can quite literally roll your server back to a previous point in time using any web browser.
  • In the unlikely event of hardware failure of a physical server in our infrastructure, we will swiftly migrate any affected virtual servers onto new physical hardware with minimal disruption to you.

Our EU-based customers also benefit from the fact that our servers are located in the UK, so web applications hosted with us satisfy EU legal constraints on the transfer of personal data to third countries, unlike hosting with US hosting providers who do not participate in Safe Harbor.
