The role
Cloud computing is rapidly growing, and hosting providers around the world must now add cloud products to their portfolio to keep ahead of the market. As a technology pioneer, our cloud platform helps them do this swiftly.
We're looking for a motivated technical sales person to lead sales of our cloud platform.
Key responsibilities
- Seek out opportunities to sell our cloud platform, and help to design our marketing program promoting this product
- Follow up opportunities, likely by telephone, e-mail and face to face meetings over several months
- Run demonstrations and engage in technical discussion with potential partners about our cloud platform, its advantages and features and requirements
- Manage pipeline of partners from leads, to proof-of-concept, to signed partners, to launched partners, to account management
- Arrange proof-of-concept installations at most promising leads
- Draw on our technical team and our leadership when appropriate, for particular technical questions or key meetings
- Develop and implement marketing for our cloud platform
- This role is primarily office-based, but will require some travel inside and outside the UK for face to face meetings with more promising leads and existing customers
Skills and experience
- Experience and good technical understanding of IT services, including hosting, servers, virtualization, cloud computing and websites
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience and gravitas to sell to mid-rank/senior executives
- Minimum 3 years experience selling complex IT solutions to hosting companies or similar technical buyers
