The role
Every month, hundreds of interested would-be customers come to our website and have a free trial of our cloud servers.
We're looking for motivated technical sales people to join our hosting sales team and help us convert even more of these leads into customers. We'll also be running additional targeted campaigns to generate even more leads.
Key responsibilities
- Following up website leads, by telephone and email, to drive conversion into sales
- Clearly documenting progress of these leads
- Helping design and run additional targeted campaigns to generate further leads
- Achieving monthly sales targets
- Answering technical questions from these leads about our products, their pricing and what configurations are most suitable
- Providing basic pre-sales technical support for leads during their free trial, backed by our technical team
- Providing ongoing account management for customers to grow their accounts
- Arranging and attending occasional face to face meetings with largest leads
- Representing our company at occasional trade shows and conferences
- This role is primarily during UK office hours, but will involve some evening shift work so that our sales team can follow up US leads effectively
Skills and experience
- Broad understanding and experience with IT systems, including hosting, servers, virtualization, cloud computing and websites
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Engaging, friendly and professional telephone manner
- Previous experience in a high-volume IT sales environment would be preferred
- Enthusiastic recent graduates welcome
